The Power of Christ's Resurrection:

Abraham is the fulcrum, the pivot of a human demonstration that righteousness is by faith.
But that was just one man. How can this be made available to the many? Can this be available to all?
One option is to clearly state all the rules and instructions of righteous that if followed, we can all be approved. A democratic approach. Wouldn't that be fair after all? Give us the formula the descendants cried. Each man would therefore be responsible to follow every jot and tittle, and only to the accomplished would be given the spoils of righteousness.

But the law no one can complete or fulfill to be righteous.

Here in is the paradox. By the deeds of the law no one is justified, but only the doers of the law are justified.

How can one be a doer of the law then without empirical accomplishment of the deeds of the law? Is this possible? Is there another option?

Enter the faith of Christ.

Rom 4:23 — Rom 4:25
Now it was not written for his [Abraham's] sake alone, that it [righteousness] was imputed to him [Abraham] ; But for us also, to whom it [righteousness] shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

The cross because the true fulcrum, the real pivot of divine demonstration that righteousness is by faith. Abraham was a human shadow. Christ is the divine reality.

By the faith of Christ, he was delivered for our offenses. We all, every human being that has ever lived, is corrupted with offenses.

Christ swallowed every single offense and barrier to entry to attain righteousness and only got up, was resurrected when justification was assured.

How do you know you were mired in offenses? Because He died.
How do you know you are justified? Because He got up. He was raised.

The resurrection of Christ secured the justification for the ungodly, and for every man.

Romans 5:18
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

So Now we have an option where it is possible to obtain the righteousness of God without the deeds of law... It is by the faith of Christ who believed that He can secure it for you by being resurrected.
Now there is no difference created by the haves and have not, by the doers and non doers, when we thought it was fair to give every man a chance to just follow the rules, thinking that would do it.
There is no difference because of the faith of Christ. All have sinned and all are freely justified. You need to just believe to experience its imputation, in this human life and beyond. If you don't believe you still rely on your own ability to be good. You short change yourself.

Rom 3:21 — Rom 3:24
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Long and short Christ 's resurrection is proof that He secured justification for every man.

Christ died for the ungodly, do you believe that?
Christ justifies the ungodly, do you believe that?

So to him who is not following 616 rules and all the dos and don'ts in a religious context to obtain an show himself as righteousness to everyone else, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Once you know you are already righteous by faith, the deeds would be natural and you would be glad to do them.

Romans 4:5
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

-----------
So what are the implications (feel free to disagree):

  1. Because of the Cross, Christ's death and resurrection, justification is a guarantee.
  2. Justification is not based on "work" or individual accomplishment or ability. Righteousness is of faith. You believe in Christ's ability to secure your justification. You must believe to experience its full import and power in this life and beyond.
  3. All humans were in Christ when He died. He died for our offenses and He was raised to secure our justification.
  4. All humans before Christ especially, who did not even had the benefit of the rules (law), babies who were killed in Noah's flood, children snuffed out during Israel's raids, those who did know their right hand from their left hand, men, women, boys and girls are all covered by the cross. Yes, belief is important but many of these did not have the opportunity to believe. What is most important is that the Cross resolves this all. I believe they would be given opportunity to believe, yes even after death. Death never stopped God before. And death never stopped a confession. After all every tongue can still confess after death (well technically after death and then be raised)...
  5. Wickedness of men, women who have lived, even before Christ, has and will be judged. Each man must given an account for their deeds. It is obvious that aborted babies, children may not have much deeds to be made accountable. Yet God is not a respecter of persons. All would be given an opportunity to believe on him that justifies the ungodly. Christ went and preached in Hades after all Himself.
  6. It is our responsibility now on this side of the Cross, to not worry about these things (although we can speculate), but we ourselves believe so that we experience the full import of righteousness and uninterrupted life even now in our human existence. Why refuse to believe and have your life interrupted, perish, lost brought to ruin?
