Biblical Predestination Part 1 - Foreknowledge God has foreknowledge, He does foreordain, and He does predetermine some things. He does not predetermine everything that occurs, that is, every single choice of man, whether there be rapes, brutalities etc. Man is responsible for his choices. God is Sovereign. At a macro level, He retains Ultimate and Eminent Domain. He predetermines the outcome of all reality no matter how many detours occur. He predetermined a Seed, Christ, a Lamb Slain. Some Principles Yes He is in Control but that doesn't mean He is directly controlling everything... big difference. He did not directly control Adam when He sinned. But He is in Control. What does Being in Control means? That He is controlling everyone's every actions? No. It means that unlike us, he determines the outcomes and consequences to His choices... We have limited free will [See the previous notes on my  Thoughts on Free Will ] . We can all choose but none of us can have any impact or are able to change the consequences to those choices. We are free to choose, but not free from the consequences and outcomes. God is different. He can change the outcomes. This is why He knows the End from the Beginning... Questions: Why do we pray for God's will to be done if it is always done? What am I missing? Did he not know about it after all since the beginning? So if we deliberately don't do God's will, do we say, well he knew from the beginning that this will happen anyway? Why not? It's part of His Plan! There are many times God's will is not done.
