Bible Predestination Series - Who is the Elect

Image
Who is the Elect? An elect is about representation. The elect represents others. I see many focus so much on the Bible written to the elect and about the elect that they forgot the point of the elect was to represent all of mankind.  It's not the Calvinist notion that God predestined which humans would be saved and which would not. The elect started with Shem chosen, then Noah then Abraham and from him all nations would be blessed. The elect was the remnant of Israel of faith, who then like Abraham lived by faith instead of relying on the law. The elect back then that Paul referred to in the first century were preserved but the rest was of Israel was blinded. Romans 11:7 " What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded." So the elect was shown to be not just the seed of Abraham but those who lived by faith. Election was about the chosen generation of the first century who were "elected" or "chosen...

Biblical Predestination Part 5 - Rom 9 History of the Elect

Biblical Predestination Part 5 - Rom 9 History of the Elect There was an elect to be used to win all others First Adam, then Seth, then Noah then Shem, ten Abraham then Israel but Israel failed. Then Christ came as the elect.  Jacob was loved, Esau hated so Jacob can be used to win Edom, Assyria, Egypt. Isa 19 So God desires to win all men and he uses an elect to do so Israel's remnant was the the original elect. Understand what that means. The remnant did their job and brought forth Christ the ultimate elect. Elect does not mean only one saved. Romans 5:18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. That's why Gentiles can come in Israel [Jacob] was the original elect Rom 9:10 — Rom 9:12 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac (for the children not yet being born, nor havi...

Biblical Predestination Part 3 - Did Christ Die Only for the Elect

Image
Calvinist say that Christ only died for the Elect. Some people say Christ only Died for Jews. Complete foolishness with a chaser of hogwash. "For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all". ... 2 Cor 5:14-15 "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone" [Heb 2:9] Hebrews proved that He was the kinsman redeemer on two levels, that is He is the near kinsman to all Jews and all of Mankind.: All Jews: - "For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren," [Heb 2:11] All flesh and Blood, and the children given to Him "Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in t...

Biblical Predestination Part 4 - Is Salvation Only for the Elect

Image
Is Salvation Only for the Elect Does not the Bible say that only whom God foreknew and predestined would be the only ones who are saved and the rest goes to hell? No. Here is the scripture people like to quote Rom 8:29 — Rom 8:32 "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." This is a prime example why we need to read the Bible in Context... Who was Paul referring to? Answer the elect. Romans 8:33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. This predestination was in context the elect. It was applied to the elect. So what was the predestined plan? To be conformed to His Son. Do we really understand what predestination is and what is was for? *Predestination was the process by which an elect is selected to go through the ...

Biblical Predestination Part 2: Foreknowledge

Image
"God knows the end from the beginning and he can do whatever he wants" <--- Can I show you an instance where God foresaw something happening and it did not happen? 1 "Then they told David, saying, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and they are robbing the threshing floors.” 2 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go and [a]attack these Philistines?” And the Lord said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah.” 3 But David’s men said to him, “Look, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?” 4 Then David inquired of the Lord once again. And the Lord answered him and said, “Arise, go down to Keilah. For I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.” 5 And David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, struck them with a mighty blow, and took away their livestock. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah." [1 Sam. 23:1-4] <-- God...

Biblical Predestination Part 1 - Foreknowledge

Image
Biblical Predestination Part 1 - Foreknowledge God has foreknowledge, He does foreordain, and He does predetermine some things. He does not predetermine everything that occurs, that is, every single choice of man, whether there be rapes, brutalities etc. Man is responsible for his choices. God is Sovereign. At a macro level, He retains Ultimate and Eminent Domain. He predetermines the outcome of all reality no matter how many detours occur. He predetermined a Seed, Christ, a Lamb Slain. He predetermined an elect through Whom this Lamb would come... Seth --> Noah --> Abraham --> Jacob --> Israel --> Judah and Joseph --> Christ. He almost decided to wipe out Israel to do it through Moses He predetermined, that all the earth would be saved, even though many would be put to shame [Isa 45] He predetermined that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess "In HIM I have Righteousness and Strength" which Paul shortened to "Jesus is Lord". He pre...
