Rom 9 to 11 - Do You Agree With Paul that All Things Go Back to God?

Someone said "Looks like the Apostle Paul didn't believe in everyone being restored either...
Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved."

------

My response:

That was the beginning of His thesis. His opening statement. You need to follow the whole treatment.

First he outlined an entire argument to conclude that Israel was blinded for a purpose... to bring others in...

“God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day.”

Then he surmises that if they fell, and the result looked dire, with so many were in darkness, what would their fullness look like...

"I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. 12 Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!"

"For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead"

"For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world"  ----> Paul was hoping they would be saved from coming destruction also, that they would be saved from being cast away, becoming desolate... they were about to become dead because of their rejection of righteousness through faith.

This occurred in AD 70, when Jerusalem was destroyed in fire with 1.3 million Jews died and their corpses cast into Gehenna (another word mistranslated as hell)

But if their cast away is the means by which we are reconciled... how much would their acceptance be BUT LIFE FROM THE DEAD...

The prerequisite to resurrection is always death.

Then Paul circles around and  concluded...

"that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved as it is written"

This lead him do a Holy Ghost dance, to exult and shout Hallelujah.

"For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all."
"For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out"

The conclusion?  God is a Genius

"For OUT of Him, THROUGH Him, BACK to Him Are all things" [Rom 11:36]

<-- Now whether that is complete restoration of all things or not, that is the treatment we should be arguing, and the conclusions He came to, not just Rom 10:1.

Do you agree with Paul that Out of Him, Through Him and Back to Him are all things?
