Step 2 Died - Six Steps to the Throne Series

Image
SIX STEPS TO THE THRONE Gary Garner Lesson Two:  DIED   1 King 10:18, 19 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.  The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind; and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.   Solomon’s kingdom is the most perfect type of the kingdom of God that we have in our Old Testament.  We believe that the Old Testament contains visual aids of spiritual truths.  The kingdom of God is a future thing, but it is also a present thing. Jesus said in Luke’s gospel that the kingdom of God does not come with observation, but he said, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. There has first got to be an awareness of the kingdom of God within us before we are ever going to see the kingdom of God manifested in this earth. We find here that the throne of that king had six steps to it.  I guess if there is a st...

Step 1 Crucified - Six Steps to the Throne Series

SIX STEPS TO THE THRONE Gary Garner Lesson One:  CRUCIFIED Revelation 3:20-22  Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.   -----------   In this passage of scripture we see Jesus standing at the door of the church and knocking.  This is talking about a time in God’s plan when there is a feast available. We call this the “super supper.”  It is a time that we are entering into in the church when God opens His Word up to us, and we have Him laid before us in every passage and every place in the Word. Without getting into great detail about this chapter of Revelation, we want you to see that there is a promise of sitting toget...

I am the Resurrection and the Life

Image
Jesus said " I am the resurrection, and the life : he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this" Here is what Jesus meant by that... - He that believes in me though he were dead, yet shall he live: Christ did not come to end physical death per se. He came to defeat death. He defeated death by dying Himself and being raised from the dead. We will all still die physically. BUT because of Him holding the keys of death and Hades, when you die, you do not goto hades but immediately you will live.... NO MORE GOING TO HADES. You would live and receive your resurrected body immediately. If you believe in me you shall never die: Physical death is just a portal to life now. NO MORE HADES. The gates of HADES shall not prevail against us. Resurrection of the dead is not an even or a day. It is a person. Christ. Since He came in the clouds in AD 70, Resurrection of the dead began and...

The Judicial Work of the Cross

Image
(photo credit - Wikipedia)  Everything begins and ends with the cross.... The cross was the Supreme Divine Court Judgment on this world. This judgment is not based on works. It was based on His Work. So what was this judgment? This was the judgment - Satan driven out; men dragged into Him and [man - Adam/ death] killed. (John 12:31). Remember Paul's out of His mind statement? He said when Christ died ALL MEN DIED.... and the LOVE of Christ compels Him to say so... [2 Cor 5:14]. Christ did not come to judge the world, but to save it. The process to save the world was: 1. Drag and Crucify every man when He was crucified 2. Kill every man/ Adam when He died 3. Bury every old man when He was buried This concludes the death work, the same death work of the first dove in the OT. This concludes the reconciling. So let's summarize the death work... Surely you agree: 1. When ADAM Died ALL MEN Died, right? 2. When CHRIST Died, ALL MEN Died Right? However we do agree, not every man [yet...
