The Four Living Creatures and Covenants Part 2

Image
Summary I think what is missing from most bible discussions is an understanding that the Bible is about covenants... When you are reading scripture you have to divide it based on the covenant you are in. You have to rightly divide it. The Old Testament contains the following covenants: Noah,  Abraham,  Moses,  David.  So God response to Abraham lying that Sarah was his sister is different to as in Moses. You have to know what are the terms of the covenant to understand why God responded like that. The Old Testament is NOT the Old Covenant. The New Testament is also not all the New Covenant. In the New Testament when Christ was on the earth before he died, the old Covenant was still inforced. Hence he taught that no one should teach reneging on the law until the law was fulfilled But Christ begun to introduce the tenants of the New Covenant which was the constitution of the coming Kingdom. Like as in a election in the US, when there is a new regime, the old is still around during the tr

The Four Living Creatures and the Noahic Covenant Part 1

The Four Living Creatures You have heard about the Four Living Creatures in the Bible Right? In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The  first living creature was like a lion , the second was like an ox , the  third had a face like a man , the fourth was like a flying eagle . Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’who was, and is, and is to come.” [Rev 4:4-8] Who are these creatures? Why the four faces of a Lion, Eagle, Man and Ox? Where did that concept come from? It is helpful to start from the beginning. -------------------------------- The Noahic Covenant Gen 9:8-9 " Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 “I now establish my covenant with  you (MAN)  and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with yo

Narrow Gate vs Broad Way

That quote also comes from Luke 13... the ENTIRE Chapter is the context.. We can't just pull one verse to form a doctrine. This is the quote.. "Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, 24 “ Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able" The question is saved from what?  is this talking about "eternal salvation"? NO.   Again context. Please make note of the following in Luke 13 The people who asked Christ this had little or no knowledge of the issues and particulars of salvation as we know it today. They were immediately reacting to Christ spreading an interesting message as he was heading towards Jerusalem. What was Christ's message? Well it started with folks pointing out that the Galileans were the most unfortunate because they had Pilate mix their blood with their sacrifices. They concluded that God judged them.  Doesn't that sound familiar with all the

Is Jesus God? A Comprehensive Study

Is Jesus God? Quick Summary: Only one scripture is needed... straight from the horse's mouth, straight from Christ's mouth… "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and ****I will be his God ***** and he shall be My son. "[Rev 21:7] Do you remember who is THE Alpha and Omega right? Yep Christ.   "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” He is the image of the invisible God; He is the Creator - in Him all things were created [Col 1:15-20]  The Revelation of the Christ.  The Alpha and Omega , Christ, Will be YOUR God [Rev 21:7] He is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and End, Lord over all, the Word who became flesh. Christ is God in the flesh.... But that seems to be Controversial for some
